April 2017 Spotlight: Corey Templeton

Senior Project Technician Corey Templeton loves a challenge, “I’m proud when I see projects get completed where we’ve had to overcome obstacles knowing the architectural gymnastics it took to get there.”

Corey started at Studio Design Group Architects in 2014 with a background in energy modeling and LEED consulting. He earned his Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon and proudly considers himself a Ducks football fan. Like most of his colleagues, Corey spends time on both healthcare design and commercial architecture projects. He’s happy to contribute to all kinds of work from hospitals and medical clinics to wineries. Interacting with clients, consultants, contractors, along with city and county officials, is a big part of his role.

On weekends you’ll find Corey exploring scenic trails with his wife, Donna, and their three young kids. Bean, the friendly family dog, is often along for the adventure. From kicking the soccer ball around to playing catch – Corey loves spending time with his family. One thing he’d like to do more of is playing the guitar.

Corey appreciates living on the Central Coast, “I love seeing projects I’ve worked on pop up in the community, knowing I’ve had a hand in enhancing this place we get to live in.”

All of us at Studio Design Group Architects are grateful he’s part of our team.
