From helping historical landmarks to designing learning environments where students and educators can thrive—Studio Design Group Architects has been committed to community design for more than three decades. Our latest Community design project is an especially exciting one – we’re renovating Mission College Preparatory High School in downtown San Luis Obispo.
Led by Project Manager Ariana Melendez, the Mission Prep project consists of an interior renovation of the three-story historic building (originally built in 1926) at the corner of Palm and Broad Street. The renovation will be completed in phases over the course of three summers.
This year our focus is a complete renovation of the school theater including a new stage, seating, and lighting/sound systems. Structural work below the theatre will support the new space. We’ll also be renovating the locker room on the lower level to support Mission Prep’s athletic program.
